There are thousands of job agencies in London. While many of these are for people with specific skills and/or experience there are plenty that specialise in temporary catering or other types of work. There are essentially two types of agency: private and goverrment.

PRIVATE AGENCIES
We do not at present recommend any private agencies. You can find suitable agencies in magazines such as TNT (see press page), on the Yellow Pages web site, or by doing a search on a search engine such Google or Yahoo

GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
These are called 'Job Centres' and there is normally at least one in most parts of London. You can find more information on the Job Centre web site.

POINTS TO CONSIDER
i. No fees: agencies make their money by charging employers for there services. They are not allowed to charge people who are looking for work.
ii. Many agencies prefer people staying for several months. If you are only planning to stay in London for a short time it is probably better not to use an agency.
