Why come to London to find a job?
Every thousands of young people come to England to find work. There are several reasons for this:

i. Flexible labour markets: It is much easier to employ people in the UK than in many other European countries. It is also easier for an employer to end someone's employment.

ii. Strong economy: For the last 10 years or so Britain's economy has been growing strongly. This means there is a need for workers. The UK (England) has one of the lowest unemployment rates in Europe; currently it is at around 4%.

iii. Lack of workers in certain sectors: Many foreign people find work in the hotel and catering (restaurants, bars, cafés etc) sector where typically English people do not work.

iv. Improve your English: working in a 'real life' situation in an English speaking country is one of the best ways to improve your English.
